Hereβs a piece of artsy craftsy work I created out of a junk mail page, ephemera, cloth scraps and some stenciling π
Itβs shabby meets vintage chic, here.
It all started off with my folding the junk mail page into a pocket for a pocket in the
art πΌ/writing journal for an artist whoβs also a writer.
I then added a pink silk band to sit out of the pocket waiting for something to be nestled inside there in its fairy π§ββοΈ like space. Like so.
I decided to place a dainty little note book inside the pocket.
I created this note book with all sorts of ephemera recreated into magical π§ββοΈ pages of tissue, writing βοΈ paper, computer π©βπ» paper π and brown paper.
I stitched 𧡠it all together into a cover made of thin board covered in ephemera and embellished with a strip of the same pink silk stitched around and pasted on to the front cover as another pocket. I added a piece of ephemera printed with cherry π blossoms πΈ, on to it.
Then, I made a tag for the front cover. I also added a back pocket to the pocket I created with the junk mail page, stenciling on both.
I placed the tag π· in the cover of the note book I just created. I placed a journaling spot inside the back pocket of the pocket I created with the junk mail page.
This is how it looks. So cute and too close to my heart π, I donβt want to part with them π.
So, this is the process for my latest creations. I may add some finishing touches to them if I feel like it. If I do, I will share a pic later.
I dotted the flower πΈ and added a leaf π going down from the stem π€©.
