Archbishop Vigano is calling on faithful Americans to fast for three days to support the Jan 6 political prisoners still held in the US jails and prisons.ย
As we all know, a million Americans showed up on January 6, 2021, to protest the stolen 2020 election. These Americans were hoping that Vice President Pence would send back the election results to states where two sets of delegates were provided to the US Congress. President Trump gave a speech and Pence decided to proceed with certifying the uncertifiable results.
Some Americans walked to the Capitol and were invited into the Capitol. Many today sit in jail or prison for walking into the Capitol and then leaving. They are political prisoners of the Biden regime. Rather than look into the criminals that day who were responsible for any wrongdoing, the corrupt FBI and DOJ are targeting innocent Trump supporters. Hundreds of Americans have been targeted by the Biden regime and are now sitting in jails and prisons across the country.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano intends to hold a 3-day fast from January 3rd to 5th in support of those who are still detained on January 6 related charges. 964 individuals have been charged with crimes, many of them misdemeanors, related to January 6, and 465 pleaded guilty. Hundreds are still languishing in DC-area jails awaiting trial.
In a letter exclusively obtained by Human Events, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, the former Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, said โI hope that this initiative will find many adherents, in a spirit of true reparation of the innumerable sins and grave betrayals committed.โ
โI can only encourage and bless this commendable gesture of penance, to be accompanied by prayer โ above all the Holy Rosary โ for the beloved Nation which I had the privilege of knowing during my officeas Apostolic Nuncio,โ he said.
There are defendants โwho are awaiting trials who have been incarcerated for 18, 12 months as DOJ delays those trials intentionally to inflict more pain,โ Julie Kelly reported. She said that Bidenโs DOJ and FBI โare still arresting people every week. You have new defendants, new people who have been arrested and charged just this week, including for misdemeanor offenses. They are closing in on a thousand total defendants, and the DOJ has warned that they are going to look for a thousand more. Here we are almost two years later; they are still rounding up Trump supporters, destroying their lives, throwing them in prison and ruining their families. Itโs really tragic.โ
Many of these detainees are kept in solitary confinement in their cells in Washington, DC, in a jail many have termed the โgulag.โ No matter where detainees are arrested, they are then transported to DC where they will face trial. And the conditions of their confinement are facing scrutiny.
โIt doesnโt matter really what prison theyโre in โ and theyโre in prisons across the country in indefinite incarceration โ they are targeted,โ Kelly said, โthey are specifically mistreated. Theyโre kept away from their families. Theyโre kept away from their defense attorneys, which, of course, is a constitutional violation on top of the few other constitutional Bill of Rights violations. So Iโll tell you, I just get inundated with stories and itโs almost impossible to cover because thereโs so much happening. And then, of course, you have people who are then convicted or take plea deals hoping that the torment will end, and theyโre sentenced to years in prison on nonviolent felonies like obstruction of an official proceeding.โ
Archbishop Vigano was lobbied by civil rights attorney Joseph McBride and election integrity leader Ali Alexander (givesendgo.com/alialexander).
McBride approached Alexander over a year ago and signed Alexander on as a client to represent along with others in some j6 cases.
McBride was one of three attorneys that represented Alexander before the January 6 Committee. Heโs currently representing 15 criminal and political defendants.
Recently, McBride shared a message with Archbishop Vigano. The Archbishop responded about 30 minutes after Pope Benedict was announced as having passed.
Ali Alexander, Stop the Steal organizer, shared the following:
We have been persecuted, cancelled, and prevented from coalescing as a community of believers and patriots. In 2023, all of that changes. This period of fasting and prayer will be the beginning of our fight back in this truly spiritual war.
Here is McBride’s letter to Vigano.
