President Donald Trump has dropped the hammer on Fox News after his recent interview with Tucker Carlson crushed the network’s Republican debate viewer numbers.
The 45th POTUS warned Fox that its “beautiful golden goose” will be “forever gone” if the network continues its anti-Trump agenda.
Trump noted that the network’s debate, which he skipped, had attracted just a fraction of the viewers that his interview with Carlson drew.
The interview was posted on Twitter/X at the same time the debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, aired last Wednesday night.
Fox said on Thursday that its debate moderated by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum had averaged almost 13 million viewers.
The audience is far lower than the viewership of the first GOP debate in August 2015 during Trump’s previous White House run.
As Slay News reported, Trump’s interview with Carlson has shattered records for audience numbers.
Trump and Carlson beat Oprah Winfrey’s famous 1993 interview with Michael Jackson to become the most-watched interview in history.
It also soared past the largest Super Bowl audiencein history.
The 2015 game between New England and Seattle on NBC holds the record at 114,442,000 viewers followed by Super Bowl 48 in 2014 on Fox between Seattle and Denver (112,191,000).
“The Interview has, at this moment, 260,000,000 Views, the biggest of all time, whereas the Fox News Debate had only 11,000,000 Viewers. End of story!” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform late on Saturday.
“If Fox News doesn’t get on board the greatest MOVEMENT of all time, MAGA, they will continue to Hemorrhage Viewers and Ratings—They will never come back—The beautiful Golden Goose will be forever gone!”
Trump’s comments came after he was booked at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia on Thursday on politically motivated charges alleging that he schemed to overturn the 2020 election in the state.
As he campaigns for the 2024 Republican nomination, he is facing a total of 91 charges across four federal and state felony indictments in cases led by career Democrat prosecutors.
He has denied all the charges against him.
On Saturday, Trump also blasted Fox for promoting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Fox was widely mocked for pushing a “poll” claiming Desantis is “closing the gap” on Trump.
However, the poll cited by Fox was from the DeSantis campaign.
The true polls actually show DeSantis is trailing Trump Republican primary race by a wide margin.
“Fox News lies,” Trump responded in another Truth Social post.
“They are still pushing DeSanctimonious, saying he can beat Biden.
“Actually, he is losing to Crooked Joe in ALL of the Polls, and I am winning in ALL.
“Fox News just doesn’t learn.
“This has been going on since 2016, saying I won’t beat Beautiful Hillary, and then I did!”
