A Few Artsy Craftsy Treasures for an Art/Writing Journal πŸ““ πŸ“” in the Making

Here’s a piece of artsy craftsy work I created out of a junk mail page, ephemera, cloth scraps and some stenciling 😍

It’s shabby meets vintage chic, here.

It all started off with my folding the junk mail page into a pocket for a pocket in the
art πŸ–Ό/writing journal for an artist who’s also a writer.

I then added a pink silk band to sit out of the pocket waiting for something to be nestled inside there in its fairy πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ like space. Like so.

I decided to place a dainty little note book inside the pocket.

I created this note book with all sorts of ephemera recreated into magical πŸ§™β€β™‚οΈ pages of tissue, writing ✍️ paper, computer πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» paper πŸ“ and brown paper.

I stitched 🧡 it all together into a cover made of thin board covered in ephemera and embellished with a strip of the same pink silk stitched around and pasted on to the front cover as another pocket. I added a piece of ephemera printed with cherry πŸ’ blossoms 🌸, on to it.

Then, I made a tag for the front cover. I also added a back pocket to the pocket I created with the junk mail page, stenciling on both.

I placed the tag 🏷 in the cover of the note book I just created. I placed a journaling spot inside the back pocket of the pocket I created with the junk mail page.

This is how it looks. So cute and too close to my heart πŸ’—, I don’t want to part with them 😊.

So, this is the process for my latest creations. I may add some finishing touches to them if I feel like it. If I do, I will share a pic later.

I dotted the flower πŸŒΈ and added a leaf πŸ‚ going down from the stem πŸ€©.
